You might recognize this project. It's been the subject of 3 previous blog posts Rocking & Rolling Boulders, Rock On! and Block Party! We began work on this project last fall, working in phases to coordinate with the homeowner's construction projects. This home received a complete makeover. New landscaping, a new front entry and new siding. It was a beautiful home before. Now it's absolutely stunning.

Last Week A New Patio

How many Pillywiggins does it take to construct an awesome patio? Just one! (And that's no joke.)

Today Perennials, Planting & Completion!

This was quite a project involving almost the entire yard. All of the existing plants and landscape materials were salvaged, relocated and reused in other areas of the landscaping. Now the To-Do List is officially To-DONE!
  • Remove all existing paver block beds & borders around house & garage.
  • Salvage & relocate existing plants to garden for reuse. Split large perennials.
  • Construct a two tiered landscape bed in front of the garage using field stone and boulders.
  • Construct a multi-level landscape bed at rear of garage using field stone.
  • Enlarge existing beds around 3 sides of home. Cut in a new bed to complete landscape beds around entire home.
  • Install field stone border around all landscaped areas.
  • Construct a 100' multi-tiered retaining wall along back side of property reusing paver blocks removed from old landscaping.
  • Plant retaining wall with shrubs & perennials salvaged from old landscaping.
  • Plant beds around house with salvaged perennials & splits.
  • Construct a new patio off back deck.
  • Purchase perennials & plant two tiered bed in front of garage.
