It's almost here, our favorite day of the year. The first day of spring. We still have a little snow but Pillywiggins Garden is already growing! Seeds planted long ago are anxious to emerge & blossom. This spring we are adding a hoop house, expanding our Services and extending our reach to more gardens than ever before! Mother Nature predicts a dramatic increase in Pillywiggin sightings in 2020! This year, Pillywiggins will be even easier to spot with new uniforms featuring our awesome new logos. It's been a long time in the works but well worth the wait! We are excited to finally unveil our new look and introduce you to two very special members of our Pillywiggin Troop. Every time a seed is planted, a flower fairy is born. So, it's no wonder Pillywiggins Garden is well-populated and quite diverse. In time you will meet all of our Pillywiggin friends and get to know their stories. Today we are pleased to introduce you to the Pillywiggins that appear on our logos. "Leaf Blossompopper"Leaf is one of the first Pillywiggins to appear each spring. He travels from garden to garden to awaken the dormant bulbs. He encourages new growth, budding & sprouts with his loyal companion Spot, a ladybird beetle. Wherever they go, flowers are sure to grow! Always the first to the garden & the last to go home, these two work tirelessly to tend the blossoms & keep the aphids at bay. It's Pollen Nate and his army of worker bees zipping about the garden making sure each plant is properly pollenated. Nate leads his own colony of bees in search of clean, chemical-free gardens to pollenate. Pillywiggins have always worked along side bees, sharing the workload & the honey! Lifelong friends & allies, Pillywiggins are known to swarm with their bee friends to defend the hive.
